Dozens of Ahmadiyya Muslim women adorned in bright overcoats called jilbabs and wearing myriad colorful hijabs kneeled and collectively worshipped their God, Allah, in a harmonized Eid prayer in north Harris County Sunday morning.
During the sermon at the Baitul Samee Mosque, the room was quiet save the imam who asked worshippers to join in a moment of silent prayer.
“Pray for those going through hard times. Pray for those going through economical and financial difficulty. Pray for your families and all the sacrifices they’ve had to make,” Imam Mubasher Ahmad told the crowd of Muslims.
