A 21-year-old Splendora man died early Sunday morning after he was ejected from his pick-up truck that slammed into a tree in Montgomery County, the Texas Department of Public safety said.

Zachary Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene the accident about 6 miles northeast of Splendora on Huff Road.

He had been traveling south on Huff Road in a Toyota Tundra when he was unable to navigate a curve, veered left and hit the tree, authorities reported.
