Editor at Embarcadero Media | Communications Professional | Journalist | Storyteller

I’m a journalist and communications professional with more than a decade of experience telling stories that matter. I’ve reported on everything from mental health and disability rights to city council drama and breaking news. My work has appeared in the Houston Chronicle, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and even The Garden Island on Kauai (yes, journalism and paradise do mix).

In 2021, I helped launch the Redwood City Pulse, where I now lead a small newsroom covering local government, housing and community life. I also work across departments on the Peninsula with Embarcadero Media to help shape internal messaging, build audience trust and make sure important stories don’t go untold.

Over the years, I’ve picked up some honors I’m proud of, including a first-place Blethen Award for investigative reporting and recognition from the nonprofit Investigative Reporters and Editors for coverage of a fatal chemical leak. I’ve also dabbled in podcasting (earning a CNPA award) and have experience on camera and behind the mic, thanks to an early internship at an NPR affiliate in Houston.

I live in Redwood City with Kooper, my devoted mini doodle and my best dinner date. When I’m not working, I’m likely listening to a podcast, doing crossword puzzles, camping under the stars, or grabbing drinks with friends for trivia night.
